Thank you for all of your wonderful comments in response to this year's t-shirt. We are very proud to offer it to anyone who wishes to purchase one or five or etc.. We will be using this as a fundraiser for our team to go to St Jude. We hope that we sell a gazillion of them!! 100% of the profit from these shirts will go to St Jude. We are hoping that each person who has followed little "e", prayed for him and his family, have been touched by his life in some way will purchase one and wear it on December 6th in his honor and memory even if you are unable to make the trip to Memphis to participate in the marathon. We will be wearing this shirt proudly and in his memory as we walk/run on that day.
To keep our cost down so that more can go to St Jude, we will be taking orders until October 31, 2008. At that time, we will turn in one order to the shirt company and have them all printed at the same time. There will be ONE PRINT RUN on these shirts. The printer needs about a week to process our order, then our goal is to get them out in the mail back to you by the middle of November to ensure you have them in plenty of time for the marathon. We appreciate your orders and look forward to seeing you wearing the shirts with pride.

Is the shirt actually available in long sleeve and short sleeve? Though you've mentioned it, I do not see anywhere to specify on the order form, plus I would think the cost would be higher for long sleeve?
Also, what color will the shirt be printed on?

After much consideration and talking it over with the "experts", the t-shirts will be white.
Also, yes the shirt is available in long and short sleeves. Specify which you'd like on your order form or next to your size when paying with paypal.

Do you have to use paypal to order a shirt? I've had trouble with them in the past and don't feel comfortable using them again. If there is an alternative, could you let us know?

Sorry about the previous post asking if paypal had to be used. My computer did not pull up all of the information the first time I looked at it. I guess I should be more patient. I'm just so anxious to get a shirt.

I'm trying to order through the "buy now" tab and it says not found when I click on it. Could that be a problem with the paypal end of it? Or am I doing something wrong? -Katie

Katie...I had the same problem when I linked to this page from www.ethanpowell.com. However, when I typed in the the blog web address and didn't link from ethanpowell.com, it let me go to the paypal page. Weird. Anyway, try that and see if it works for you too.

Actually, Greg does want a shirt. :) He says it will be a memento of the one time he ran more than 10 minutes. Do I need to place a separate order for him? I wasn't sure if you could just combine shipping for them. Let me know...
As for accomodations, we decided to stay downtown. There are about 20 people from our church running this year and we got reservations downtown because we have a slew of kids between all of us. We wanted to have a "home base" in case the sitters needed to take the kids somewhere to change diapers, feed, nap, etc. I've told the folks from church to join Team Ethan, though! I hope to get to see you guys at some point...maybe we could do a Team Ethan pic after the race or something.
